Can I convert the video to another format here?+
No, and that is deliberate. This tool hands you the original MP4 exactly as X stores it. Converting to MOV, AVI or MP3 would mean re-encoding, which costs quality and time — a desktop tool like VLC or HandBrake does that job better once you have the file.
Why does the download go through your server instead of straight from X?+
Browsers ignore the download attribute on cross-origin links, so a direct CDN link would open the video in a new tab instead of saving it. Routing the stream through our server lets us set the correct download header, so the MP4 actually lands in your downloads folder.
Is there a file size limit?+
Yes — very large files are rejected to keep the service responsive for everyone, and one download at a time runs per visitor. Ordinary X videos, which are capped at a few minutes, are far below that ceiling.
Does it work with links copied from the X mobile app?+
Yes. Share → Copy link in the app produces a normal status link. If you end up with a shortened t.co link, open it in a browser first and copy the full x.com address — the tool will tell you if it sees a t.co link.
