Most videos on X top out at 1080p or 720p. But posts uploaded at higher resolution — often from Premium accounts and professional creators — really do carry 1440p and 4K renditions, and they are the ones worth hunting for. Our extractor reads every rendition X published for a post and labels each by its actual pixel height. If a 4K version exists, you will see a button that says 4K. 4K downloads — common questions

I pasted a link and the best option is 720p. Why?+
Because that is the highest rendition X created for that post. Resolution is fixed at upload — no downloader can invent detail that was never there. Any site promising to "upscale to 4K" is either re-encoding a small file or simply lying about the label.
How do I know the 4K label is real?+
The label is computed from the video height reported for the file itself: 2160 px or more is 4K, 1440 px or more is 1440p, and so on down to 360p. It is read from the media, never guessed from the post or the account.
Are 4K downloads slower?+
Yes — a 4K file can be many times larger than the 720p version of the same clip, so expect a longer wait. Downloads run one at a time per visitor, so let the first finish before starting another.
Is it free?+
