WHAT "HD" ACTUALLY MEANS ON X

720p and 1080p — and how to tell which one you are getting

X does not serve one file per video. Every upload is transcoded into several renditions, and the player picks one for you based on your connection. A downloader that hands you "the video" without telling you the height is guessing on your behalf. This tool does the opposite: it lists every rendition X published for that post and labels each one by its real pixel height, so you pick.

Will I really get 1080p every time?+
Only if the poster uploaded at least 1080p. X transcodes each upload into a fixed ladder of renditions, and we show you exactly what exists for that post — labelled 1080p, 720p, 480p or 360p by real pixel height. When the highest available rendition is 720p, that is the source ceiling, not a limitation of this tool.
Does the download add a watermark?+
No. The file is streamed through our server straight from X's own media CDN and saved as-is. Nothing is overlaid, cropped or re-encoded — the MP4 you get is byte-for-byte what X serves to its own player.
Do I need an account or the browser extension?+
Neither. The tool on this page works in any browser, on desktop and mobile, with no sign-up. The Chrome extension is optional and adds one-click copying while you browse x.com.
Is there a limit?+
Yes — a fair daily limit per visitor, so one heavy user cannot exhaust the service for everyone. Normal use never hits it. If you do see the limit message, come back tomorrow or use the extension.
